Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a senior firmware engineer to design, implement and deliver GPU client firmware. Involve with BIOS/UEFI on ARM and x86 platforms, work with hardware teams, and build robust unit tests and quality reports. Strong C/C++ and scripting skills, plus 8+ years in embedded environments, are expected.

Qualifications

• Domain expertise in System BIOS firmware development on X86 or ARM.
• Experience with IBVs or IBV solutions.
• End-to-end delivery of client products from definition to deployment.
• Strong understanding of low-level interfaces (I2C/SPI/PCIe/JTAG) at platform level.
• Experience collaborating with HW teams, ODMs and vendors.
• Proficient in C/C++, Bash/Python scripting, and embedded Linux/Windows debugging.
• Bachelor’s degree in EE/CS or equivalent; 8+ years as individual contributor.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and delivering innovations for GPU-based Client products with firmware focus.
• Working with a global BIOS (UEFI) development team on NVIDIA client designs.
• Designing and developing performance-optimized UEFI/BIOS solutions using industry standards.
• Instrumenting code to ensure maximum code coverage and creating unit tests.
• Providing software quality reports based on static analysis, code coverage, CPU load.
• Collaborating with security team to meet product security goals.
• Partnering with hardware teams to influence HW design and schematics.
• Working with QA/Test to develop test tools and automation for the full system software.
