Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead SOCOM UAV and mission-systems programs. The role requires senior-level strategy, cross-functional oversight, and close collaboration with SOCOM offices to drive multi-phase success from development through sustainment.

You will manage cost, schedule, technical execution, and operational readiness while coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams. This remote role offers high impact in a defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Program or Project Management experience or equivalent leadership roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, or technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with USSOCOM or Component Commands/Units.
• Background in Defense, Government contracting, and Aerospace, with UAV experience preferred.
• Experience with design-for-manufacturing and transitioning from development to production.
• Hands-on experience with gated design processes (PDR/CDR).
• Strong customer engagement and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Shape and lead program strategy, long-range planning, and performance for SOCOM programs.
• Provide senior leadership to cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and support.
• Serve as primary contact with SOCOM program offices and operators.
• Oversee field issue resolution, repairs, and airworthiness actions.
• Approve corrective actions and drive reliability improvements.
• Monitor schedules and milestones, ensuring contractual alignment.
• Own program risk posture and lead mitigation planning.
• Participate in configuration management and change processes (CCB, ECO).
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L; support pricing and proposals.
• Coordinate training, demonstrations, testing, and field integration with SOCOM.
• Maintain compliance across classified environments; travel as needed.
