Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech seeks a Program Manager for SOCOM programs to lead cross‑functional teams, manage customer relationships, and drive successful UAV and mission system programs through development, production, integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment.

The role requires strong leadership and project management to deliver on schedule, cost, and scope, with occasional travel to customer sites and facilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Program or Project Management experience.
• 5+ years working with USSOCOM or Component Commands/Units.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, or technical discipline.
• Background in Defense, Government contracting, and Aerospace, with UAV market experience preferred.
• Experience with design‑for‑manufacturing and transitioning systems to production.
• Hands‑on experience with gated design development (PDR/CDR).

Responsibilities

• Lead program planning, execution, and performance for SOCOM portfolios.
• Coordinate cross‑functional engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and support teams.
• Serve as primary SOCOM program office contact and maintain strong relationships.
• Oversee field issue resolution and repairs across deployed systems.
• Direct root‑cause analyses and reliability improvements.
• Monitor schedule milestones and manage master plans and contractual requirements.
• Maintain risk registers, mitigation plans, and issue tracking.
• Participate in configuration management and ECO/CCB activities.
• Manage program financials, budgets, forecasts, and P&L accountability.
• Support RFP interpretation, BOE development, and pricing coordination.
• Coordinate training, demonstrations, tests, and SOCOM integration.
• Ensure compliance across classified environments; travel as required.
