Job summary

A leader in unmanned aircraft systems is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and develop innovative mechanical solutions for UAVs. Qualifications

• 3-7 years in aerospace mechanical systems, including 2+ years on UAVs.
• Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and aerodynamics.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and systems for UAVs.
• Prototype and test UAVs to ensure mechanical reliability.
• Conduct structural analysis to ensure UAVs withstand operational conditions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD and mechanical design software (e.g., SolidWorks)

Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM)

Experience with finite element analysis (FEA)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Understanding of UAV regulations and aerospace certification processes

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
