Job summary

General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI) seeks an experienced UAV operations professional at Fort Carson, CO. The role coordinates ground and flight operations, plans mission briefs, and serves as instructor/operator for UAVs, including potential remote piloting for tests and demonstrations.

The position requires 4+ years in UAV/aviation or a relevant degree, FAA knowledge, and the ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS.

Qualifications

  • Four-year technical degree or trade school equivalency, or five+ years UAV/aviation experience.
  • Basic understanding of UAV and FAA principles.
  • 600+ hours in OSGCS/UGCS, including 200 hours as PIC.
  • Graduate of DA or DES IO course.
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
  • FAA Class II flight physical.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, including extended hours and travel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ground and flight operations including mission planning and briefing.
  • Serve as instructor/operator of UAVs and manage aircrew resources.
  • Possibly remotely pilot vehicles for tests and demonstrations.
  • Plan, organize, and execute flight programs and tests per FAA regulations.
  • Conduct demonstrations and tests of UAVs.
  • Represent GA-SI to military and commercial customers.
  • Observe laws, regulations and company obligations.
  • Work safely following procedures and Army forms.
