Job summary

A2G International is seeking an experienced Air Vehicle Operator to lead safe operations for Group 3+ UAS platforms, planning missions and debriefing after operations. The role involves coordination with engineering and mission teams, ensuring FAA/DoD compliance and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of UAS flight experience, holds FAA licenses/certifications, and possesses DoD clearance. The position requires PIC/SIC responsibilities and travel for CONUS/OCONUS assignments.

Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot License or 500+ hours operating Group 3–5 UAS.
• Minimum Flight Experience: 100 hours as SIC with 20 launches/recovers or 50 hours as SIC with 30 launches/recovers.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate (or ability to obtain).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have an active SECRET DoD security clearance.
• Must be capable to travel OCONUS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe operation of UAS in compliance with FAA, DoD, and customer flight regulations.
• Execute detailed test plans and flight cards in coordination with engineering and operations teams.
• Coordinate and conduct ground and flight operations, including mission planning, execution, and debriefing.
• Operate as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Second-in-Command (SIC) for developmental and operational UAS missions.
• Provide input for manual updates and adapt to rapidly changing mission requirements.
• Deliver feedback on corrective actions and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Guide and assist other technical personnel on flight operations and procedures.
• Communicate regularly with engineering teams on aircraft performance and system functionality.
• Support technical support teams in resolving customer and system-related challenges.
• Follow all safety protocols and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
