Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in Topeka seeks a Sales Account Executive to generate advertising revenue by calling on agencies and new prospects, delivering persuasive TV advertising proposals and building lasting client relationships.

You will handle existing accounts, develop new ones, present rates and schedules, and coordinate with station staff to place campaigns. Strong communication, sales and presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, advertising or mass communications.
• Minimum one year of experience in sales, preferably in media.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Call on established agencies and cold-call new prospects to grow revenue.
• Deliver persuasive TV advertising proposals and demonstrate value to clients.
• Establish credible relationships with the local business community.
• Maintain and grow assigned accounts and develop new ones.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations; explain rates and schedules.
• Coordinate with station personnel to place advertising into schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
