Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace Engines & Power Systems seeks a senior mechanical design engineer to advance turbomachinery for fans and compressors. You will design rotating and static components, perform modal and thermal analyses, and lead testing and data analysis across lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Minimum 7+ years' experience in mechanical design and analysis of aerospace components.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience working with turbomachinery components.
• Minimum 7+ years' experience with FEA software ANSYS APDL or ANSYS Mechanical.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of turbomachinery rotors, stators, blisks, disks and impellers.
• Lead modal, vibration, deflection, crack growth, fatigue, thermal and stack analyses using FEA.
• Lead testing of components and engine modules; perform data reduction/analysis on test data.
• Create documentation of engineering results from design, simulation and test activities.
• Present engineering artifacts in structured design reviews.
• Mentor engineers; drive process/tool improvements and knowledge capture.
• Lead junior engineers in day-to-day technical tasks.
• Support proposals for commercial and military customers.
