Hawaiian Electric Companies in Pearl City – Oahu seeks a Manager in the PYE PS TECHNICAL SERVICES Department, Power Supply Engineering Division. The role focuses on providing OEM-expert level field engineering and technical consulting for older steam turbines and new technology, identifying and resolving operational issues, and prioritizing reliability and cost-effective maintenance.

The Senior Engineer (Turbine) oversees turbine outages, testing, NDE planning, and QA/QC, guiding maintenance

Competenze

Thorough knowledge of engineering fundamentals in the appropriate specialty areas (e.g., physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, power, electronics, materials) normally acquired through advanced college courses or equivalent experience.
Thorough knowledge of Steam Turbine equipment design, construction, operation and maintenance.
Thorough knowledge of materials engineering including metallic elements and alloys.
Working knowledge of LEAN concepts and processes.

Mansioni

Provides advanced engineering expertise and develops strategies for steam turbine overhauls and equipment repairs.
Leads staff and consultants in steam turbine overhauls and maintenance to ensure cost-effective maintenance.
Plans and forecasts critical turbine outage work with resource allocation and vendor coordination.
