Job summary

Big Wave Digital - USA seeks a senior product engineer to lead technical design and architecture for major initiatives, collaborating with product teams. You will own the reliability of high-volume distributed systems, mentor engineers, and guide AI coding agents to deliver scalable, robust software.

Ideal candidates have 5–15 years of experience, expert TypeScript/Node.js skills, and hands-on experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ. US citizenship or Green Card required; sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Expert-level TypeScript and Node.js.
• 5–15 years in product engineering.
• Hands-on production experience with distributed messaging (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
• Experience shipping code with AI coding agents.
• US citizens or Green Card holders; no sponsorship/visa transfers.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and architecture for major initiatives and write design documents.
• Make trade-offs in partnership with product leadership.
• Direct and review AI coding agents and ensure reliability of high-volume distributed systems.
• Mentor engineers and foster technical excellence.
