Donahue Fitzgerald LLP is seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Litigation Attorney in California to manage a diverse caseload from initial assessment through trial and appeal. The role emphasizes collaboration with partners, leadership in complex matters, and a commitment to work-life balance.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in CA trust/estate litigation, strong drafting and advocacy skills, and a proven ability to handle high-stakes disputes with clients.

Formación

• J.D. degree required and active CA Bar in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience in CA trusts, estates, and conservatorship litigation.
• Strong understanding of the California Probate Code and related case law.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills for persuasive filings.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and client-focused approach.
• Trial preparation and courtroom advocacy experience preferred.
• Proven track record of resolving complex litigation matters.
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office after 90 days.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and litigate complex trust, estate, and conservatorship disputes.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Handle discovery, including propounding/responding to written discovery and depositions.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Develop and implement effective case strategies; mentor junior attorneys.
