The role requires a JD, active California Bar membership, and at least 8 years’ experience with strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, plus a collaborative, high-integrity approach.

Qualifications

• Represent trustees, executors, administrators and beneficiaries in trust and probate litigation, including disputes over capacity, undue influence, fraud; accounting issues; co-trustee disputes; breach of fiduciary duty.

Multi-service law firm, is seeking a Senior Trust & Estate Litigation Attorney to join our Trust & Estate Litigation group.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Trusts and Estates litigation and a demonstrated interest in providing advice and counsel to clients with a broad spectrum of Trusts and Estates issues. Additionally, the candidate should bring at least a partial book of portable business.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the State Bar of California
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Trust & Estate litigation
• Strong analytical, negotiation, consulting, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Key Responsibilities

• Represent senior citizens and their families in financial elder abuse litigation.
• Represent trustees, executors, administrators and beneficiaries in trust and probate litigation, including:
  • Contests based upon lack of capacity, undue influence, or fraud;
  • Negligent management of assets;
  • Failure to account, or Inadequate accounting;
  • Co-trustee disputes;
  • Removal and surcharge actions;
  • Breach of fiduciary duty (lack of impartiality, self-dealing & secret profits)
