Job summary

Google is seeking an Associate Principal Analyst for Trust and Safety, Shopping in Sunnyvale, CA. The role focuses on data analytics, policy, and cross-functional collaboration to protect users and partners from abuse across Google products, including Shopping.

You will work with engineers, product managers, and policy teams to identify signals, drive solutions, and mentor others. The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 7 years in analytics or related fields; preferred qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.

Responsibilities

Ideate and manage high impact projects which increase user safety or improve user experience, in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders such as Engineering, Product, Legal, Policy, Sales and other Trust and Safety teams.
Perform investigative fraud and abuse analysis, producing actionable insights and recommendations.
Identify opportunities for new signals, automation, workflow improvements and operational efficiency gains. Subsequently drive solutions/projects to completion.
Mentor and provide guidance to team members.
Perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, including weekend coverage/holidays. This role works with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial, and upsetting topics or content.
