Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) invites applications for a Trust Officer III to develop, service, and administer complex fiduciary accounts in accordance with governing documents and policies.

The role emphasizes estate and trust administration, client communications, and coordination with Wealth Management and other bank departments to ensure compliance and risk management. Minimum five years in the trust industry preferred, with at least three years as a Trust Officer.

Qualifications

• J.D., CTFA, CFP, MBA, or related degree required.
• Minimum 5 years in trust industry; at least 3 years as a Trust Officer.
• Strong communication, analytical, and accounting knowledge; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Analyze agreements and documents to determine purpose, authority, and requirements.
• Communicate with clients and beneficiaries; document communications thoroughly.
• Maintain accurate and organized files; ensure trust accounting accuracy.
• Perform annual administrative reviews; monitor distributions and liquidity.
• Prepare filings and coordinate with Wealth Management and other departments.
• Supervise assigned personnel; promote services and ensure compliance.
