Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Sr. Trust Officer - Market Leader to lead complex fiduciary accounts and drive revenue growth. The role emphasizes relationship management with clients, attorneys, CPAs, and portfolio managers while ensuring regulatory and fiduciary standards.

The candidate should bring at least 10 years in trust administration, a 4-year degree in business or finance, and strong leadership capabilities. This is an on-site leadership position within Wealth Management.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of Trust Administration experience.
• Minimum 3 years of Leadership experience.
• CTFA or JD preferred; Notary license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively administers and manages trust, investment management, agent for trustee and custody accounts per governing documents.
• Interpret and apply provisions of documents in line with statutes and regulations.
• Manage tax and legal activities related to assigned accounts.
• Coordinate receipt, valuation, review, custody, and disposition of account assets.
• Obtain and maintain appropriate account documentation per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, CPAs, and portfolio managers to resolve account issues.
• Cultivate relationships with clients and professionals to generate new business opportunities.
