Job summary

Wilmington Trust, a part of M&T Bank Corporation, is seeking a Senior Trust Administrator in New York. You will work with Trust Officers to manage fiduciary relationships, including Delaware directed trusts and discretionary trusts, delivering precise service for high-net-worth clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience supporting fiduciary account administration, trust administration, estate administration, or related financial services.
• In lieu of a degree, a combination of education and relevant experience, including at least 2 years supporting fiduciary or trust administration activities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven organizational and client service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.
• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Trust Officers to administer a portfolio of trust relationships.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, and other trusted advisors.
• Support the administration of Delaware directed and discretionary trusts.
• Assist with trusts holding closely held business interests and other complex assets.
• Review trust agreements, wills, settlement agreements, modifications, and other fiduciary documents.
• Coordinate client requests and collaborate with internal partners across investments, tax, legal, compliance, and operations.
• Assist with new account onboarding, trust funding, beneficiary updates, fee arrangements, account coding, and account closures.
• Monitor account activity and identify matters requiring escalation or additional review.
• Maintain accurate account records and documentation while leveraging technology and operational resources to support efficient administration.
• Prepare client materials, account reviews, and business presentations as needed.
• Stay current on fiduciary regulations, trust and estate administration practices, and industry developments.
