Job summary

Reading Truck in Phoenix is seeking a Truck Installation Technician III to join our team and install specialty truck equipment including service bodies and hitches.

You will work under the Shop Supervisor to ensure precise installation, wiring, and hydraulic systems with attention to safety and quality. The role involves welding, tool usage, and collaboration with other mechanics; prior truck upfitting experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of welding skills (metal and aluminum).
• 2+ years of electrical wiring experience.
• Ability to build schematics.
• Complex hydraulics knowledge and experience (a plus).
• Independent ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to operate power hand tools (and have basic tools).

Responsibilities

• Install truck bodies, plows, commercial truck accessories.
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc.
• Basic weld experience (helpful)
• Train with other mechanics as needed
• Other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager
