Job summary

City of Dallas is hiring a Senior Sanitation Truck Driver to operate an 18-wheeler tractor-trailer within Dallas city limits. The role includes leading, coaching, and training teammates, ensuring clean streets and alleys, and adhering to safety standards.

You will work various shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, and may face inclement weather or toxic materials. A Class A CDL and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• EXPERIENCE Two (2) years of experience operating tractor-trailers.
• LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at time of application or must obtain within probationary period.
• Applicants with a Class A CDL, issued by a state other than Texas, must obtain a Texas Class A CDL within probationary period.
• Must pass background check.
• OTHER REQUIREMENTS Subject to twenty-four/seven (24/7) call-out.
• Subject to inclement weather and toxic materials.
• Availability to work various shifts (days, evenings, nights).
