Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator - Sanitation to support landfill operations. You will operate large machinery such as graders, excavators, dozers, compactors, and dump trucks to help serve the community.

The role requires two years of related equipment experience or one year in waste disposal operations, plus a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

The Heavy Equipment Operator - Sanitation handles large equipment at the landfill such as, motor graders, excavators, dozers, compactors, articulating dump trucks, etc. to contribute to the daily operations of the landfill and serve the citizens of the surrounding areas.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience

• Two (2) years of experience operating heavy motorized equipment OR off-road equipment used in excavation, construction, landfill, or waste collections (e.g. wheeled loader, static boom, excavator).

Equivalency

• One (1) year of experience in waste disposal operations will meet the experience requirement.

License

• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Salary Range

$24.39 - $27.71

The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.
