Job summary

HOLT Truck Centers in Pflugerville, TX seeks a senior diesel technician to diagnose, repair, recondition, and adjust key truck systems and components. The role is senior-level with more than six years of experience, operating under minimal supervision and within VBL guidelines.

The incumbent will model Holt’s values, perform engine diagnostics and repairs, document service reports, and mentor lower-level technicians while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or skilled trades preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience required.
• CDL – Class A or B required.
• ASE – Medium/Heavy Truck Certification four or more preferred.
• AC Certification Required.
• Brake System Certification Required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses complex engine malfunctions and failures with direction and minimum supervision.
• Performs detailed engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers with direction and minimum supervision.
• Disassembles, inspects, determines parts required, and reassembles to factory specifications within TRGs.
• Provides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks including road testing.
• Interprets and utilizes information from manuals, service bulletins, and online resources.
