The State Courts System seeks a Senior Trial Court Staff Attorney to assist the judiciary with case management, litigation, and appellate matters. Responsibilities include drafting memoranda, opinions, orders, and conducting legal research under supervision.

Requirements include Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, five years of legal experience, Florida Bar membership within one year, and a valid Florida driver’s license. Travel to circuit locations and onsite training may be required.

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Five years of work experience in the practice of law or as a law clerk in an appellate or trial court.
• Requires membership in Good Standing in the Florida Bar within one year of hire.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License required.

Responsabilidades

• Draft memoranda, opinions, and orders; conduct legal research.
• Review briefs and case files; advise judges on pending litigation.
• Assist with case management, pending litigation, and processing of appeals in criminal, civil, and appellate matters.
