Job Description

Join the legal frontline and champion the defense for both the insured and the Company! As a Senior Trial Attorney, you'll handle bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with thrilling trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Beyond the courtroom, you'll provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams. Stay ahead of the game by monitoring new laws and regulations, ensuring our strategies remain sharp. Embrace the excitement of constant challenges and victories in this dynamic role!

Key Responsibilities
  1. Represent insured individuals and the Company in the defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases.
  2. Prepare thoroughly for and conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
  3. Prepare and present pre- and post-trial motions effectively.
  4. Assist colleagues in resolving calendar conflicts collaboratively.
  5. Offer counsel to business clients on legal matters.
  6. Manage projects efficiently, fostering coordination among legal teams.
  7. Stay updated on new laws, regulations, and case law; evaluate their impact; collaborate with the Law and Regulation department; and provide proactive legal advice to business units.
Education
  • Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Georgia State Bar.
Minimum Requirements
  • 3+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation skills, such as case strategy, legal research, and advocacy, with the ability to manage complex disputes under pressure.
  • First or second chair jury trial experience preferred.
  • Experience with insurance defense preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis (preferred), and internet research.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff under Lead Counsel’s guidance.
  • Ability to manage a substantial caseload.
  • Comfort with remote work and willingness to travel within greater Atlanta and Northern Georgia.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $85,600 to $152,650, based on experience and qualifications.
