Principal, Corporate Finance & Accounting
About our client:
Our client is a privately backed, independent renewable energy platform focused on the development, ownership, and operation of utility-scale clean energy assets across North America. The firm has an established track record in wind, solar, and energy storage and maintains a strong financial foundation supported by long-term institutional capital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day treasury operations across a portfolio of renewable energy assets
- Prepare and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts for operating assets in coordination with internal stakeholders
- Analyze project-level financials to determine available cash for distribution, consistent with financing and depositary agreements
- Review and validate critical payments, including debt service and intercompany transfers, to ensure timeliness and accuracy
- Lead compliance-related reporting activities tied to debt covenants and structured financing agreements
- Deliver variance analysis and reporting to senior leadership, highlighting deviations from budget and forecast
- Conduct financial modeling and performance analysis on cash flow results and liquidity metrics
- Maintain familiarity with project finance documentation and ensure reporting obligations are met
- Review and help enhance internal treasury policies, processes, and controls; recommend improvements as needed
- Support treasury system activities and serve as backup for online banking execution
- Assist with ad hoc projects, reporting initiatives, and cross-functional requests as assigned by senior leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in treasury, corporate finance, or cash management
- Strong knowledge of treasury operations, cash forecasting, and project-level financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in working with financial models and reports
- Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) or similar platforms preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working across departments
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight timelines
- Experience with renewable energy or infrastructure portfolios is a plus
