Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting seeks a Senior Travelling MEP Superintendent to lead field operations on hyperscale data center and mission-critical projects. This role requires extensive travel to project sites, with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and subcontractor performance.

You will coordinate closely with project management, trade partners, and client representatives to ensure uptime and seamless IST testing, while mentoring junior supervisors and field engineers on fast-paced builds.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field leadership on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
• 3+ years managing data center or mission-critical projects.
• Deep technical knowledge of MEP systems, UPS, BMS, CRAC/CRAH units, generators, and switchgear installations.
• Ability to lead subcontractor coordination and hold teams accountable to project goals.
• Proficiency with construction technology platforms like Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, BIM 360.
• OSHA 30 and current First Aid/CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all onsite construction activities from mobilization to turnover.
• Drive day-to-day coordination of trades with focus on sequencing, safety, and milestone adherence.
• Manage field installation of complex MEP systems, critical power infrastructure, and white space buildouts.
• Ensure strict compliance with site-specific safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Interface with commissioning teams and equipment vendors during IST.
• Conduct daily field meetings, look-ahead planning, and work verification.
• Partner with Project Managers to manage change orders, schedule adjustments, and owner communications.
• Mentor assistant superintendents and field engineers to build a strong site leadership team.
