Job summary

MYR Group Inc. is seeking a Sr. Field Mechanic to travel to project sites across the designated service area and support field teams with maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs.

The role involves extensive travel and extended stays at active project sites, with lodging and a company vehicle provided to support travel requirements. Qualifications

• Must have five years of experience in general heavy truck repair, automotive repair, or equipment repair; equivalent trade school/technical school time may be applied toward this requirement OR have completed a vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in vehicle and equipment repair and have four years of experience.
• Must be capable of operating company vehicles and equipment on a daily basis. The employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanic assignments using independent judgment to apply procedures and practices to specific work situations.
• Perform a full range of servicing and repairs on fleet equipment, including malfunctioning parts and systems, following manufacturer guidelines and schedules.
• Frequent travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of equipment and maintain a professional service vehicle.
