Job summary

Kiewit’s Traveling Electrical Construction Manager will lead site teams in Houston, overseeing engineering, constructability, procurement, and commissioning on Oil, Gas and Chemical projects. You’ll coordinate with clients and vendors, manage scope, schedule and budget, and mentor engineers across project lifecycles.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree and 10+ years in energy project oversight, with extensive travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent PM experience.
10+ years of energy industry experience.
10+ years of direct project oversight on self-performed construction.
Proficient in project control software and MS Office.
Professional Engineer license desirable.

Responsibilities

Direct and manage project teams to meet scope, schedule and budget.
Oversee engineering, constructability, procurement, construction and commissioning.
Establish procedures and controls aligned with contracts and quality plans.
Represent the project with clients, constructors, subs, and vendors.
Coordinate training and compliance measures.
Secure approvals for changes in scope, budget, or schedule.
Maintain client communications and adjust deliverables per requirements.
Ensure work products comply with codes and good engineering practice.
Provide training and mentoring to junior engineers.
Track progress against milestones using engineering fundamentals.
