Job summary

TPD in the United States is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer at all levels to join our traffic engineering and planning practice in Bucks County.

The role involves managing large land development projects, performing traffic impact studies, intersection design, and coordinating with municipal and PennDOT processes. A PE license is required and strong communication skills are essential to represent clients at meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Code.
  • Experience with testimony on behalf of land development before municipal approvals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large land development projects in traffic engineering and planning.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams on traffic impact studies, intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, and traffic and signal operations analysis.
  • Obtaining, analyzing, PennDOT’s Highway Occupancy Permit Design Criteria/procedure
  • Overseeing the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
  • Serve as a representative at municipal meetings, hearings, and PennDOT staff meetings.
