Our Transportation Business Group in Kentucky / Tennessee / Arkansas is seeking career-minded professionals to join as key members of highway/roadway design teams for moderate to large projects and to work independently on smaller projects. This role involves leading a transportation team managing multiple sectors, including DOT, transit, aviation, ports/maritime, and CEI.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Direct and coordinate work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project's lifecycle.
2. Manage all aspects of small to medium projects or routine large projects.
3. Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
4. Establish and maintain client relations; participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
5. Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
6. Coordinate staffing and workload, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
7. Monitor financial aspects of projects, adjusting work efforts to stay within budget and schedule.
8. Work with leadership for periodic project reviews.
9. Implement QA/QC procedures.
10. Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in highway location and design.
• Strong business development skills with a record of winning projects as project manager or task lead.
• Experience managing projects for DOT or municipalities.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site at client or project offices.
• Preference for candidates local to Arkansas, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Memphis, Nashville.
• Familiarity with Microstation, Open Roads, Geopak, Inroads, or similar software.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• At least 10 years of related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project; Access experience is a plus.
• Leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
