Job summary

Michael Baker International in Alaska seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of complex transportation projects. You will mentor teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget while strengthening client partnerships across public and private sectors, leveraging regional expertise and national resources.

As a senior leader, you will drive business development, oversee multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery in Alaska's transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
• PE license in Alaska or ability to obtain licensure via comity.
• 10+ years of transportation and civil engineering design experience.
• 5+ years supervising, mentoring, and developing staff.
• Experience with Design-Build and other delivery methods.
• Established Alaska transportation market relationships.
• Strong proposal and business development experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities; proficient in MS Office, Acrobat and Bluebeam; familiarity with CAD/GIS tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects from concept to bid-ready documents.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure design quality and adherence to standards.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams and foster technical excellence.
• Develop client relationships and pursue new business opportunities in Alaska.
• Collaborate with leadership to expand Alaska transportation presence.
