Job summary

LJA Transportation is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to provide technical and engineering support for traffic and transportation projects. You will manage design of traffic signal, signing, striping, ITS, and related plans across TxDOT, counties, and municipalities.

You will mentor team members, support business development, and ensure project performance with respect to scope, schedule, and budget. 8+ years in the field and a PE license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in the Traffic and Transportation field.
• Experience using SYNCHRO.
• Experience with traffic impact analyses and signal warrant studies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering support for traffic projects.
• Manage traffic signal, signing, striping, illumination, ITS, and traffic control plan projects.
• Prepare traffic studies and analyses for private clients.
• QA/QC reviews of traffic engineering plans and deliverables.
• Mentor engineers and support business development.
• Collaborate with TxDOT, counties, and local municipalities.
