Job summary
LJA Transportation in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to provide technical and engineering support for traffic and transportation systems analysis, planning, and design.
You will manage projects including traffic signals, ITS, signing, striping, and roadway safety studies, while mentoring staff and supporting business development. Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering, PE license, 8+ years in traffic/transport, proficiency with SYNCHRO, and experience with large TxDOT
Qualifications
- BSCE is required and PE license is required.
- 8+ years of experience in traffic/transportation.
- Experience with traffic impact analyses, signal warrants, and traffic management plans for private clients.
- Experience using SYNCHRO.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and engineering support for traffic and transportation projects.
- Manage and design traffic signal, signing, striping, illumination, ITS, and traffic control plans.
- Prepare traffic studies and support business development and project management activities.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to staff.
- Collaborate with TxDOT, counties and local municipalities.
