Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Accountant to lead financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control within the Transportation Business Group. You will analyze project performance, manage invoicing, and ensure contractual compliance across multiple projects, partnering with technical staff to optimize schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred for advanced roles.
• Strong project controls knowledge including baselines, cost plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed analysis and reporting on project status within an established system of project controls.
• Work autonomously on client invoicing, collections management and project budgeting.
• Accurately contract documentation, administration and maintenance, including fee and budget entry.
• Coordinate the project accounting system within the department and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Mentor junior project accountants as needed; complete tasks autonomously.
