Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Accountant in Irvine to lead detailed project controls analysis, cost reporting, and invoicing activities. The role involves coordinating budgets, baselines, and contracts while mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced, employee-owned environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage schedules and earned value tasks, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed analysis and reporting on project controls, baselines, costs and schedules.
• Manage client invoicing, collections, and project budgeting.
• Maintain contract documentation, administration and budget entry.
• Coordinate the project accounting system within the department and ensure contractual compliance.
• Mentor junior project accountants as needed and assist with ongoing duties.
