Job summary

Ardmore Roderick in the Chicagoland area is seeking a Senior Transportation Program Manager to lead complex roadway rehabilitation and client programs across multiple projects.

The role requires PE in Illinois, a civil engineering or construction management degree, 20+ years in roadway/transportation, and 10+ years leading teams; hybrid work is possible depending on project and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Illinois.
• 20+ years of experience in roadway/rehabilitation projects.
• 10+ years leading projects and teams as a Resident Engineer.
• 15+ years working with IDOT/Illinois Tollway and major transportation programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior project managers, associate PMs and field inspectors to guide project portfolio execution.
• Manage client expectations related to Ardmore Roderick staff and subconsultants.
• Represent Ardmore Roderick on multi-firm programs and duties.
• Oversee daily roadway rehab construction to meet specs, timeline and budget.
• Provide leadership for team policies, tasks and documentation processes.
• Mentor and retain team members for future leaders and managers.
• Support new business development and pipeline growth for the team.
