Job summary

Newell Brands seeks a Sr Associate in Transportation Procurement to optimize truckload, intermodal, LTL, flatbed, bulk and reefer services across Canada, the US and Mexico. You will support two Category Managers and manage carrier relationships within the Newell network, focusing on cost, service and performance improvements.

The role requires 1–3 years in sourcing/logistics, strong Excel skills, and ~10% travel. Collaboration with multiple stakeholders and a strategic mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 1–3 years of applicable experience including Sourcing and Supply Chain.
• Experience in Logistics; familiarity with the Canadian freight market is a plus.
• Advanced Excel experience and skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for freight procurement in Canada with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support LTL/Flatbed and Truckload category managers with data analysis and reporting.
• Assist US and Mexico freight spend and carrier relationships.
• Manage carrier relationships and resolve service issues globally.
• Own end-to-end management of the low volume carrier program (Thunderdome).
• Monitor carrier performance and costs against targets; escalate gaps and suggest adjustments.
• Support carrier vetting, onboarding, and mini-bid processes.
• Drive RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and other supplier evaluation processes; bid analysis and cost savings.
