Job summary

Newell Brands is seeking a Sr. Sourcing Analyst to lead tactical procurement for metal components. You will support the category manager in strategy development, drive cost productivity, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Marketing.

The role requires 1–3 years in procurement, strong data presentation skills, and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SAP. Domestic travel ~10% is expected as part of supplier relationships and NPD support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 1–3 years procurement/sourcing experience in direct materials preferred.
• Ability to present data effectively with persuasive materials.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills; SAP experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically ~10%.

• Set up and maintain accurate costing information in SAP and administer SAP requirements.
• Coordinate with the supplier and planner to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
• Lead data integrity efforts (spend data gathering/verification, RFx analytics).

The Sr. Sourcing Analyst leads the tactical efforts supporting the effective procurement of all category needs within their assigned area, striving to purchase at the best total cost and maintaining our standards of quality and service. Additional responsibilities will include supporting and participating in the development of component sourcing strategies, driving productivity, and completing competitive assessments. This role will support sourcing initiatives including new product development, supplier metrics, and on‑going data management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of 3‑5% YOY productivity (cost reduction) goals for metal components.
• Work cross‑functionally to ensure all business needs are met (Engineering, Quality, Marketing).
• Support supply base rationalization using category spend and supplier capacity analysis.
• Support supplier relationship management activities (QBRs, weekly meetings, productivity/innovation opportunities, etc.).
• Set up and maintain accurate costing information in SAP and administer SAP requirements.
• Coordinate with the supplier and planner to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
• Lead data integrity efforts (spend data gathering/verification, RFx analytics, etc.).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, or related fields; or comparable experience.
• 1 to 3 years procurement/sourcing experience in direct materials sourcing is preferred.
• Ability to create and deliver a strong and persuasive message through presentation materials and data.
• Basic negotiation knowledge and skillset; default mindset to approach negotiations using data.
• Ability to manage multiple projects to completion.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong commitment to the highest standards of personal and professional integrity.
• Ability to organize and analyze data using a PC; intermediate proficiency in Excel a must.
• Experience in Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required.
• Experience in SAP is preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically about 10% of the time.
