Job summary

Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) in Allentown, PA seeks a Senior Project Manager for its Transportation team. You will lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex transportation projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality compliance.

The role requires eight+ years in transportation projects, PE preferred, and strong communication skills with agency experience; travel to sites and offices will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
• Minimum eight years managing engineering projects, especially transportation.
• Experience with highway, traffic, or bridge projects and PennDOT permitting.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead agency meetings.
• Proficiency with common business platforms and project management tools.
• Willingness to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation engineering projects from planning through design and completion.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and review design calculations, analyses, plans, specs, and documents.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout docs.
• Coordinate permitting with PennDOT and other agencies.
• Serve as primary client liaison and support staff development.
• Attend and lead meetings with agencies and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure coordinated delivery.
