Job summary

Mannik Smith Group is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager based in Detroit, MI. This role is focused on leading roadway and utility design projects in a fully 3D digital environment. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, experience with MDOT projects, and knowledge of OpenRoads ORD software. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 12-15 years’ experience working with MDOT transportation and Local Agency.
• Michigan PE license with the ability to become registered in other states.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of roadway design plans and 3D models.
• Perform and review design calculations for accuracy.
• Prepare design packages for client submittals.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff.
• Oversee and manage a team of seven designers.

Skills

Knowledge of OpenRoads ORD design software

12-15 years’ experience with MDOT transportation and Local Agency

Michigan PE registration

Ability to manage a team

Experience working as a PM

AutoCAD/Civil3D knowledge

Education
