Job summary

Boswell is actively seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager for our South Hackensack, NJ office. You will manage highway design projects, lead teams, and coordinate with NJDOT and NJTA to deliver comprehensive transportation solutions.

The role requires a PE in NJ, 10–20 years of transportation experience, and strong skills in AutoCAD, AutoTURN, MicroStation, and GuidSIGN. PTOE certification is a plus, with a focus on ADA curb ramps and traffic management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in NJ required.
• PTOE certification is a plus.
• 10–20 years of transportation design and project management experience.
• MUTCD, AutoCAD, AutoTURN, MicroStation and GuidSIGN proficiency needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management for highway design projects.
• Perform highway design including geometry, superelevation and cross sections.
• Conduct traffic studies and maintenance/ protection of traffic.
• Design roadway drainage, guiderail, and ADA curb ramps.
• Prepare proposals and support business development with NJDOT.
• Review shop drawings and perform QA/QC.
• Coordinate with survey, structures, geotechnical, environmental and construction inspection teams.
