Job summary

OTHON is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer/Planner to lead corridor, mobility, safety, and multimodal planning studies in Austin, TX. The role includes data collection, GIS analyses, travel demand, and coordination with TxDOT and regional agencies.

You will prepare reports, assist with business development, and mentor junior staff while supporting project management, scopes, schedules, and budgets. Travel to project locations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation or Civil Engineering, Urban/Regional Planning, Transportation Planning, or related field.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant transportation planning/engineering experience with public-sector deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support corridor, mobility, safety, and multimodal planning studies including evacuation and emergency route planning.
• Conduct traffic data collection, origin-destination studies, GIS analysis, and crash/safety analyses.
• Develop traffic projections and support travel demand modeling tasks.
• Prepare benefit-cost analyses, program funding, and grant applications.
• Prepare technical reports, planning documents, and client presentations.
• Coordinate with TxDOT districts, MPOs, transit agencies, municipalities, counties, and stakeholders.
