Job summary

The City of Glendale, AZ, is seeking a Sr. Transportation Planner to perform advanced financial analysis and transportation planning for its roadway, transit, airport, bicycle and pedestrian networks.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Urban or Transportation Planning and have three years of transportation planning experience. The position is classified as Grade 411 with a salary range of $80,544 to $120,816 annually.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Urban or Transportation Planning or a related field
• Three years of experience in Transportation Planning
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

Responsibilities

• Creates comprehensive financial reports for transportation projects, operating costs, grants, and sales tax programs
• Performs advanced financial analysis and budgeting for transportation plans
• Develops transportation plans for multiple modes (bicycle, pedestrian, transit) and manages associated budgets and schedules
• Coordinates with property owners, developers, and city departments on transportation planning issues
• Manages outside consultants and capital improvement projects related to transportation
