Job summary

Nevada Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Planner Analyst 3 in Carson City, NV to participate in planning, studies and long-range projects. You will manage consultants and monitor performance while helping agencies access state and federal funds.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of professional planning experience, including leadworker duties. On-site work only; no remote option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, planning, math, geography, statistics, economics or related field and three years of professional experience in transportation analysis, planning or research programs.
• One year of the required experience must have been in a leadworker capacity; OR equivalent combination of education and experience; OR one year as Transportation Planner/Analyst II in Nevada State service.

Responsibilities

• Participate in transportation system analysis and planning processes; monitor and implement state and federal funding and programming requirements.
• Provide project management oversight for consultants and service providers; monitor recipient performance and review financial reports.
• Oversee data collection, analysis and forecasting to support studies, master plans and long-range plans.
• Coordinate training sessions for staff, consultants and service providers regarding planning studies and funding requirements.
• Assist public, private and Tribal entities in applying for funds and monitor program compliance.
