Job summary

Entergy Louisiana, LLC is seeking a Transportation Mechanic Helper - Transportation Mechanic Sr. to perform maintenance, inspection and repair of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on medium and heavy-duty fleet equipment, including aerial devices and digger derricks.

The role works in shop and on site, requires tool proficiency, a Class A CDL within 365 days, DOT medical card within 90 days, and willingness to travel up to 25% for storms.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year automotive experience or related certificate/degree.
• Own personal hand tools; tools up to 1"; others provided by employer.
• Obtain DOT medical card within 90 days and Class A CDL within 365 days.
• Welding/fabrication experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical tasks with hand tools.
• Operate computer applications: Outlook, Service Suite, Web Time Entry, Maximo.
• Maintain and inspect Entergy equipment; ensure proper records for DOT and Entergy.
• Dismantle vehicles/equipment as needed for repairs.
• Order parts and manage inventory; ensure safety and compliance.
• Coordinate with Fleet Supervisor and Line Supervisors; assist with tasks.
