Job summary

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Transportation Engineering Branch Manager in Fayette County to lead a highway engineering group and oversee professional staff and consultants. You will help shape engineering programs and coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies to support the cabinet’s mission.

Ideal candidates will hold a Professional Engineer license (or be able to obtain KY licensure within six months) and have four years of extra engineering experience beyond licensure,

Qualifications

• Must have four years of engineering experience in addition to that required for licensure as a professional engineer.
• Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment.
• Must be licensed as a professional engineer by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors or licensed in another state with ability to obtain KY PE within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the establishment and implementation of highway engineering programs.
• Plan, assign, supervise, and coordinate the work of professional and technical personnel.
• Supervise and evaluate engineering consultants.
• Assist Chief District Engineer with various federal, state, and local agencies.
