Job summary

State of Ohio Transportation - District 04 in Akron, OH is seeking a Civil Engineer for a permanent full-time position. You will work with local agencies and sponsors to oversee federally funded projects, guiding them from funding through construction.

Licensed as a professional engineer by the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors with 12 months’ experience as a group or project leader.

Responsibilities

Oversee and assist in the delivery of projects that have federal funding.
Manage projects from start to finish, from funding award through scoping, development and construction.
Participate in MPO TIP meetings with LPA sponsors to keep milestones and funding current.
Assist with LPA agreements, contracts, inspections and close out.
Deliver PS&E submittals and award packages to Columbus for projects within the fiscal year.
Attend preconstruction and progress meetings; conduct site visits and document findings.
Review construction payment applications and submit reviewed invoices for payment.
