The Ohio Department of Transportation District 09 is seeking a staff specialist/ Transportation Engineer who will supervise teams, develop and evaluate plans, and review designs for highway projects. You will lead engineers and technicians, oversee field reviews, and ensure compliance with design standards using CADD tools.

The role requires a Ohio Professional Engineer license, at least 12 months of leadership experience, and the ability to travel within the district to project sites.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Ohio Professional Engineer license.
• At least 12 months of group or project leadership experience in engineering.
• Experience interpreting complex plans and coordinating with multiple offices.
• Knowledge of design review processes and use of CAD drafting tools.

Responsabilités

• Supervise/lead transportation engineers, technicians and support staff.
• Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for highway projects.
• Review plans for construction, rehabilitation, and related work; sign plans as PE.
• Coordinate field reviews and ensure timely updating of project management systems.
