Job summary

Caltrans is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead statewide construction safety and insurance initiatives within the Office of Construction Safety and Insurance. This role reports to the Supervising Transportation Engineer and supports the Division's Business Plan through program delivery.

• Implementing the statewide Construction Safety and Insurance Program and engineering projects that meet the Division's Business Plan.
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the Department's Construction Safety Program; developing and reviewing specifications, construction policy bulletins, directives, and other Department directives.
• Updating manuals, guidance material, and providing training; monitoring the effectiveness of the Construction Safety Program; supporting district construction staff and coordinators; leading improvements to the Construction Program; coordinating Division meetings and managing A&E and service contracts.
