Caltrans is seeking a Duty Senior under the Division of Engineering Services in Alameda County. The incumbent will act as the district focal point for contracts advertised through the Office Engineer and will supervise and coordinate ongoing procurement activities.

The Senior Transportation Engineer position involves bid analysis, risk assessment, and coordination with designers of new contract systems. A Professional Engineer license and SOQ are required for eligibility; this is a 12-month

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license required.
• Valid driver’s license required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.
• Statement of qualifications (SOQ) required.
• Unofficial transcripts/degree acceptable for verification; may be requested later.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the District focal point for contracts advertised through the Office Engineer under the Division of Engineering Services (DES-OE).
• Perform as Duty Senior, planning, assigning, scheduling, directing and controlling work.
• Track and disseminate contract statuses, coordinate bidder inquiries and responses.
• Coordinate with District Office Engineer on problematic contracts; download and distribute bid results.
• Assist in analyzing bids to identify risks passed to field construction.
