Job Description
This opportunity involves working on projects for local and state agencies as a Transportation Engineer. You will perform design tasks related to roadway, drainage, and utility design, and foster client relationships while enhancing the Egis North America brand through participation in associations and marketing efforts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and participate in the INDOT plan review process.
  • Handle various aspects of roadway design projects from conceptual to final design.
  • Coordinate work with team members to meet project requirements, budgets, and schedules.
  • Apply technical expertise to advance project demands.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop project quantities and cost estimates independently.
  • Assist in marketing efforts such as proposal writing and conference attendance.
  • Satisfy client requirements and maintain industry recognition through professional associations.
  • Promote Egis’s presence and image in the marketplace.
  • Lead and train subordinate staff within a team environment on roadway projects.
  • Ensure high-quality work through plan and computation reviews.
  • Innovate to develop time-saving design processes for departmental use.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • At least 6 years of experience in INDOT roadway or local road design.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads software.
  • Pavement design and project management experience are pluses.
  • Indiana PE license or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented work ethic.
