Job summary

Jewish Association For Services For The Aged (JASA) is seeking a CDL Driver for Older Adult Center Programs in the Bronx, NY. The role involves safely transporting participants, maintaining vehicles, and supporting daily center operations while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring participant safety.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years driving experience with NYS license or CDL, with CDL preferred and CDL training reimbursement.

• Ability to relate to older adults with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
• Strong attention to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport program participants to and from scheduled trips and activities.
• Assist participants entering and exiting vehicles as needed.
• Ensure participant comfort, safety, and respectful treatment at all times.
• Drive agency vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and policies; maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Accurately complete trip tickets, mileage logs, and other required records.
• Report accidents or incidents to supervisor and follow safety standards.
• Provide program support and participant services, including meal service and data entry where required.
• Enter trip and participation information into NYC Aging database as required.
